If you ate too many chocolates for Valentine’s last month, try these delicious date balls as a guilt-free Ayurvedic snack.

These are also the perfect gift for Mother’s Day next month. Make a batch in advance and wrap them up with a special treat from our gift range for a healthy and luxurious way to show Mum how much you love her!


8 dried, pitted dates

Almond meal, 4 tablespoons

Pistachios, to taste

Star Anise, ¼ tsp

To Make:

Simply put the ingredients into a bowl then mash until combined.  Roll into small balls and refrigerate. Also delicious rolled in dried coconut flakes. Sweet, scrumptious and guilt-free snacks your whole household will love.

Why dates?

The benefits of dates include relief from constipation, intestinal disorders, heart problems, anaemia,  sexual dysfunction, diarrhoea, abdominal cancer, and many other conditions. Dates are rich in several vitaminsminerals and fibre too. These delicious fruits contain oil, calcium, sulphur, ironpotassium, phosphorous, manganesecopper and magnesium which are all beneficial for health. Some health specialists have said that eating one day per day is necessary for a balanced and healthy diet.
