According to the wisdom of Ayurveda, true beauty is what naturally arises from simple acts of daily self-care. Cleanse, nourish and moisturise twice daily with products that are chemical-free, made from natural herbs and leave your skin fresh, rejuvenated and glowing. Use Ayurvedic face scrubs once a week and massage your face with an oil that is particularly suitable for your skin type. Splash water on your eyes at least 2-3 times a day. Give yourself a weekly body massage to cleanse the toxins away.
Sit in a comfortable place and breathe in deep, making sure the muscles of your chest and neck are loose, allowing air to gather in them. When you breathe in deep, air gets accumulated in your chest and lungs helping you stay healthy. It is a wonderful way to help oxygenate your entire body through your circulatory system. It also helps beat stress and clear up your skin.
Massaging your face is a wonderful exercise for glowing skin. Just think about the ones you get during your facial session. Lightly coat your fingertips in Shanti Oil and use your index fingers to firm the skin around your eyes and forehead. In a circular motion, massage around your eyebrows in upward direction also using your index finger. You can perform this face exercise up to ten times a day if you would like and if you have time!
Running or light cardio exercises are one of the best things you can do to get gorgeous, glowing skin. As you sweat, the tiny arteries in your skin will open up, which allows more blood to reach the skin’s surface and deliver nutrients that repair damage from the sun and environmental pollutants. Remember to breathe through your nose while you’re exercising!
Lukewarm water with lemon and honey helps detoxify your system while keeping your skin clean and healthy.
Make sure you include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables rich in Vitamin C in your diet. Papaya can work wonders for your skin. You can either eat it or apply it on your face for a massage. Potato is also effective in reducing dark spots and scars, tan and sunburn. Try and avoid too much of fried or junk food and excessive spice or sweets.
When your body is deeply rested, it automatically shows on the face. A minimum of eight hours of good sleep is ideal.
